This painting is of York Street and Main, in Sackville, NB as it appeared in the early spring of 2023, before the fire that destroyed Joey’s, a Sackville icon. As a tribute to my wonderful small town, I felt the need to paint this street scene. I took the photo that I used as a reference only 2 days before the fire and felt that it just needed to be remembered.
