This piece was completed in 2024 and was inspired by both the memories of family outings in my own childhood and the maple syrup festivals that happen locally during February and March.   It’s a wonderful time for family and friends to enjoy nature in early Spring as well as a sweet treat.

A crisp walk in the trees on a sunny day, a curious child standing on tippy toes to peek into a syrup bucket and see what's inside. That kind of day warms my heart.  I hope you have an opportunity for an outing such as this with your own families.
