This piece was completed in 2024 and was inspired by an elderly man that I met who shared tales of his boyhood growing up in Hacketts Cove.  I found that the relaxed pace of life in this rural community was very gratifying and should be celebrated.  It reminded me of the peaceful summer days of childhood when you could just enjoy the day fishing off your favorite wharf.    I hope you enjoy this print and that it brings to mind a simpler time of life when days like this were more common.
