This piece was completed in 2024 and was inspired by a recent trip to Sackville’s own Waterfowl park.

In the heart of the small university town of Sackville, New Brunswick is the 55-acre Sackville Waterfowl Park, winner of Environment Canada’s National Award for Environmental Achievement.

This picturesque park, with three kilometers of trails, boardwalks and viewing platforms, was established in 1988 jointly between Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Town of Sackville. It is home to approximately 160 species of birds and over 175 species of plants.

This area is extremely popular with the local community and is a the perfect spot for an afternoon stroll with the family. Days like these make for the best memories.
